Lya Stern is my teacher, my hero, and my friend. It is my privilege and honor to know her and to study with her. I named my Joseph Curtin violin after her. Lya teaches dedicated and talented students of all ages. She knows and understands the talents and the personalities of all of her students, and she devotes herself to bringing out the very best in all of them.
